Gold-Hemmed Black Set Information
Worn by the witch Quelana of Izalith, mother of pyromancy and Daughter of Chaos.
She wore this gold-hemmed black set before even the Age of Fire,
and it offer strong resistance versus fire, poison, and other perils.
Location
- Obtained in Demon Ruins, within the Ceaseless Discharge boss room at the farthest end. You will find a grave with a corpse lying on top containing it. Picking up the armor set will activate the boss fight, if not activated already.
Notes
- This set cannot be upgraded.
- Has the second highest poison resistance in the game (with Painting Guardian Set being the first).

AnonymousI can't understand why no one use this set to defeat ceaseless discharge. Use this set with a decent fire shield, he cant damage you much. Then do any strategy you want easier.

I (kind of) remember being able to upgrade this set with twinkling titanite on the original PS3 version. Am I just high?

I strongly suspect this set inspired the visual design of Mergo's Wet Nurse. The resemblance is uncanny, with the layers of tattered cloth down to the haphazard metallic accents.

this is the best light armor set hands down. it has high def in all stats for light armor and has high toxic curse and poison res. plus it looks really cool.

One of the best fire resistance set in the game, so you can walk for a while on lava: doesn't have shoes.

if ur a fan of the various resistances this set gives you, upgrading the pyromancer set to +5 for each piece is a good idea, because it outpreforms this set in almost every way at that level. dont bother upgrading the leggings tho, the skirt from this set is better even if the leggings are +5.

just curious has anyone noticed they changed the name of the set its slightly identical to the desert sorceress set in ds2 and desert pyromancer set in ds3

Since it can be acquired so easily early in the game, this is a good set for light armor wearers to get through the mid-game. It can't be upgraded, so you'll replace it eventually, but it's still worth getting.

This armor is synonymous with low level twink builds for me now. It’s tainted.
This set looks just too good, makes everything else feel cheap and boring.
