I got this on my first playthrough of the saga and it was the only thing that kept me from quiting

The heavy attack on this thing is cool and all, and It's satisfying as all hell to send enemies into space with it, But it's ridiculously slow to the point that you are pretty much forced to trade with it due to how slow it is combined with rather mediocre range, Good luck landing it on anything, without having to trade while likely taking a ton of damage yourself.

I just beat bed of chaos and smough and ornstein and i have a +9 zweihander should i get the black knight greatsword or could i keep using the zweihander until i beat the game?

i dont like this things slow moveset because it can get you killed very easily if you miss, so i normally go for the Greataxe because of how amazing it is

meh this things noice but the best BKW is the greataxe (reach, speed, damage, scaling, AESTHETICS) so yeah always go for the greataxe because it has the same amount of scaling and its much faster and has same range too

One of my favorite weapons. The two handed r2, while admittedly impractical for pvp, is still so satisfying to land, especially when you fling someone off of a high ledge to their death. Who needs airplanes to fly anyway

Anybody know what the requirements is for this Bugsy Sword I know in DS3 its 50 Str? I am working on a Equal to both a Str. and Dex Build to even and I am at 33 Str. and 18 Dex. I need to know does Health and Endurance require it because I have 33 in Str and 18 in Dex and I have seen Fightin Cowboy get this with 33str and 18dex

For a more in-depth answer about why you should use this weapon over black knight sword, look no further.

The swords actually have the exact same damage when upgraded to +5. The only difference is the scaling. Whereas BKS has a C for strength scaling, BKGS has a B. While it’s a small boon in damage that comes at a large sacrifice to speed, it means your enemies will suffer far more from a parry. This is a great weapon for Gwyn if you can parry well, as you can take him down in about three hits, or less if you use RTSR, Power Within, or both. But that last bit is not advised, because Gwyn will usually destroy you if you try him with only 20% health.
