What's the point of using this if you have shields to parry?
- Anonymous
I feel like it's a little weird that they gave a dagger the ability to parry but in order to parry it has to be in the left hand therefor making it impossible to use it's actually high critical stat.

dark souls has the good parry dagger and dark souls 3 has the good caestus

Is that eight frames on DS1 (30fps) or DSR (60fps) or both?
If it's eight frames on a version of the game with twice the frame rate, then that makes parrying harder to do, right?

Is the only advantage (over parrying with a shield) is the extra 2 frames? or is there something more I'm missing?

Finally, now I can continue with my work.. Keh heh heh heh heh..

This thing is great, i love running it on my strength builds and kindof switching it up a bit. In one hand ill put the dragon tooth then a light shield and in the second slot ill put the parrying dagger. So i can switch between shield and dagger without it being extremely heavy. This works for both PvE and PvP and i love it. In PvE i love doing a little one two combo where i swing the dagger to stun a low poise enemy then I'll hit em with my huge heavy weapon that i always like using (dragon tooth, greatclub, zwei etc) and ill be able to 2 hit KO most guys. In PvP im not sure on how well my one two combo would go and swapping to the dagger pretty much lets the enemy know im tryna parry them. Works great for my Strength PvE build.
