Cragspider is an Enemy in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Enemies are hostile creatures that respawn when players rest at a Bonfire or upon death. Special enemies that do not respawn are classified as Bosses, Mini Bosses or Invaders.
Fire-breathing insects with three pairs of legs and two pairs of what seem to be arms. Even though they also have wings, cragspiders don't seem to be able to fly properly. Instead, they use them to hover in the air for a short while before landing again.
- Fiery BreathDeals fire damage in a wide arc.
- Poking Attack
- Back fire attack (it summons a spherical flame after a cast time if you attach him from behind. It seems a rare attack, I've seen it only once).
- Cragspiders are relatively easy to beat. Avoid their fiery breath and approach them to get some hits in while blocking their close range attacks.
- A good strategy is to two hand and just hit them until you run out of stamina then switch to one hand and attack as soon as you gain stamina which should be before they recover from last attack. No armor means curved swords deal excellent damage

I wonder...where does the wiki gets the names for some enemies? These enemies are nowhere mentioned in the game or is this the literal Translation from the gamecode?
they look so disgusting.
You can see a person squirming inside it even after the spider is dead. The top of the spider is the belly of its host.
Could these be Quelaag's and/or the Fair Lady's "babies"?
They Can also ***** out Chaos Lava Dealing High Damage, But Very Rarely.
Possibly once human; crag spider kills will generate soft humanity.
