Oolacile Resident (Bloatheads) is an Enemy in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Enemies are hostile creatures that respawn when players rest at a Bonfire or upon death. Special enemies that do not respawn are classified as Bosses, Mini Bosses or Invaders.
Oolacile Resident (Bloatheads)Description
Humanoid creatures with long arms and a red, bloated head with numerous eyes.
Note: Oolacile Residents drop a respectable amount of Large Titanite Shards making them prime for farming.
Drops
- Large Titanite Shard (5% Chance)
- Large Titanite Shard x2 (1% Chance)
- Bloated Head (0.5% Chance)
- 400 Souls
Attacks
- Claw Attacks
- Combo Attack
- Running Attack
Strategy
Although they run quickly, they are quite clumsy and easy to evade. They have a running-claw attack that may catch you the first time, but afterwards, you should have no trouble blocking or evading. Their otherwise limited repertoire consists of close-range claw attacks that can be parried and riposted. At about Level 50, you should have no trouble with them. Also avoid attacking them in groups. Their attacks are powerful to anyone not using heavy armor. They also use a combo hit that can do devastating damage. Easily killed with Pyromancy. High Offense. Low Defense.

just plain stupid. Those guys are on pair with the darkwraiths. Just that they has no shield, that is the only difference. One swing is enough to chop 3/4 of your health, but oh wait they stagger too, so yeah that is an one shot. Simple as that. What kind of stupid thing is this?

One time, I heard one of these guys utter a creepy laugh, then I heard souls absorb. I wasn't even around any enemies. Even though it probably fell of the edge, it was really ominous nonetheless.

Just equip a shield and kite them. Life goes on. Its the sorcerers and their dark orbs you need to worry about.

Hate these guys... Love how they stagger you in one hit so you can't react to the next. If they're in groups, them hitting you once is more or less a guaranteed death.
