Tree Lizard is an Enemy in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Enemies are hostile creatures that respawn when players rest at a Bonfire or upon death. Special enemies that do not respawn are classified as Bosses, Mini Bosses or Invaders.

Tree Lizard Information

A two-headed lizard that's found hanging from some of the trees in Darkroot Garden. They can be quite hard to see, but they're no problem to deal with should you find one.

Drops

Attacks

  • Poisonous Bite Attack

Strategy

  • They are hard to spot for someone who hasn't seen one yet. But once spotted they are easy to defeat. They are weak to fire, and go down in a couple of swings, but will turn hostile once they are either attacked or gotten too close to. It's possible to go through the entire area without ever encountering or fighting them.

glad to see other people found these guys weird. two random enemies in the darkroot forest that never appear again or have any connection to anything in the series.

To all the people saying you don't know these existed, did you ever fight the moonlight butterfly? Or just miss these because they blended in?

Second playthrough I thought a tree might be illusory (idk man) and accidentally killed one of these suckers when smacking it, didn't know they were in the game :(

I've played through this game multiple times, and I had no idea this thing existed until I saw it in an enemy randomizer video today. I would have sworn to you before today that I knew every enemy in dark souls. Now I want to play again to see if I can find one in the wild lol.

Where do these things spawn, specifically? I've looked all over and haven't seen any. Nothing on YouTube, either.

I didn't run into these until my second playthrough. It was neat to find these and come across a whole new enemy type I hadn't seen before. I've only found two right before the moonlight butterfly. Are there any others?

"Hah, those vines look like snakes."
                    *gets mauled*
"What the f*ck is wrong with me, I literally just thought it out loud."

These guys creeped me out..I thought it was one of the living trees that block paths in this area and it was attacking me with vines or something. Once I realized what I was looking at I was like Whoa! I did not see that being a giant creepy two headed frog/snake/lizard thing just sitting on that tree.
