Crystal Knight is an Enemy in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Enemies are hostile creatures that respawn when players rest at a Bonfire or upon death. Special enemies that do not respawn are classified as Bosses, Mini Bosses or Invaders.
Crystal Knight Information
The Crystal Knight is an enemy found within the Duke's Archives directly before the first encounter with Seath the Scaleless. Just after going up the elevator leading to Seath there will be a narrow hallway which this enemy stands in. It stands in the way of progress and wears the Crystalline Set, wields the Crystal Greatsword, and a Crystal Shield.
Drops
- None
Attacks
- Horizontal Swing, can be parried, can be blocked. (Greatsword move set, standard swing)
- Overhead Slam, can be parried, can be blocked. (Crystal Greatsword move set, strong attack)
- Rolling Attack, can be parried, can be blocked. (Greatsword move set, rolling attack)
- Riposte, if parried this foe may riposte you. It deals increased damage.
Strategy
The Crystal Knight can be blocked quite easily due to the fact that he only deals physical damage. It is advised to pull him out of the hall and into the more open room that houses the elevator. His attacks are somewhat slow and predictable making him easy to parry. One should not simply attack him repeatedly since the Crystal Knight can parry and riposte causing a great deal of damage to the player. He moves at a slow speed, fat rolling to dodge, this makes him an easy foe to back stab. It is also quite simple to nuke him with spells since the Crystal Knight is not very capable at dodging attacks.

Their death animation looks like the host dies and the crystals try to right itself but without the host it awkwardly falls over, seemingly stying to stay standing

I actually made a build out of this enemy. It did very poorly though

Is it official that this is the Eidas referenced in Avelyn's weapon description?
Dudes oripathy is clearly terminal. I'm surprised he doesn't blow up into a cloud of originium dust upon death.
