This is a player-created Build for Dark Souls. If you want help making your own build, you can consult this useful page on how to make a build by Blaine.
A quick, nimble build centered around the Greatsword of Artorias. Not recommended for first-timers, as it takes quite a while to be effective—but once it does, you'll be doling out massive damage with GofA (which scales at C for str / dex and B for int / faith) and ninja-flipping all over the place. Vitality and endurance remain relatively low throughout, as the build favors speed and evasion to tanking; the point is to move so quickly and hit so hard that very few enemies will get a chance to actually hurt you. New Game + and co-op are especially fun here.

Build Strategy
Mask of the Father increases equip load by 15%, and with this exact set-up / stat distribution you'll be below 50% and able to ninja-flip with the Dark Wood Grain Ring. The lightweight Crest Shield works well as a main shield, Dragon Crest is strong against fire, and Grass Crest is best for quickly recovering stamina if and when you choose to two-hand the GofA. Since the build is recommended for co-op in particular it should be easy to accrue souls for upgrading all of this gear.
Level Stats
Stat Name | Starting Stat | Added Stat | Total Stat |
---|---|---|---|
Vitality | 10 | 16 | 26 |
Attunement | 11 | 1 | 12 |
Endurance | 10 | 15 | 25 |
Strength | 10 | 14 | 24 |
Dexterity | 14 | 4 | 18 |
Resistance | 12 | 0 | 12 |
Intelligence | 11 | 29 | 40 |
Faith | 8 | 32 | 40 |
Once you pass SL 120, add more points to strength / dexterity for increased GofA damage.

There's no way you're wearing all of that armor while still being able to flip with the Dark Wood Grain Ring. I can't even wear the Mask of the Father with the rest of the set being Black Leather Armor (I have to wear the Sorcerer Gauntlets instead), let alone Brass Armor and Havel's Gloves, and I'm at 34 Endurance compared to your 25. Seeing as how this guide was updated in 2018 and the Mask of the Father (along with the other Pinwheel masks) and the Dark Wood Grain Ring both were nerfed in 2015, I can't see how you're getting these values unless you're running an older version of the game, which you should state in the guide. Also, you get 6 more levels when choosing Knight instead of Wanderer. That class choice makes no sense! This guide is terrible!
